The Wooden Boards Project

For those of you who have missed out on previous posts about 'The Wooden Boards Project' this is for you, Roger Hall of Surfline Surfboards Ruakaka Northland NZ has been handcrafting some of the most amazing wooden surfboards built to date, Made from a selection of light woods both overseas species and (of course) NZ grown timber, Some locally sourced (from up the road), This chambered Speed Dialer model (top pic) was one of 4 that was showcased in Australia at The Wooden Boards Day held in Currumbin on the Gold Coast, It was a great event to display Roger's talents, So this next board (bottom three images) is number 6 in the series made from, So far, Coconut and Balsa, It's early stages but it is coming together nicely, If you have missed out on the whole wooden trip that Roger has been on just call in to the Showroom in Kepa Rd Ruakaka NZ, Thursday to Saturday and check them out or click on the word 'WOODEN' at the bottom of this post and you can see all the previous entries on The Wooden Boards Project, Micro*
