i've only surfed it once so far and it's shaped like the style waves i intended to surf it in, "fat and flat". waist high at my home break on muriwai beach. damn it went well, paddles, turns and accelerates real quick. 5'10"x20.5"x2.5" and even though roger mentally struggled with the flat deck and old school full 80's rail volume (not mentioning the blank issue either, modern blanks huh, pffttt) i asked for he nailed it with a blend of old and new full rail. i'm 80kg and it floats me easily. the glide is ridiculous, just stand there in trim, no pumping and go for ages. i thought i was on a bloody longboard! ha ha ha. cheers for the summer work roger, i'll be back oneday, you know it.

better late than never to respond. . .Yeah doing that board was pretty cool, getting out a couple of original ones that Unk an I made back in the early '80's when they were the latest shapes!Using parts of the old boards and blending them with current design components to arrive at a new version. The fact that you did exactly the same thing with the fin templates and came up with an updated twin fin template added a nice component to the whole excercise. Thanks for the fin template by the way, I am looking forward to using it again! Also I think the sprayjob just topped the whole excercise off. Stoked your diggin it mate. See you next board building stint. Roger.
